We have had a few realy successful Fabric-a-bracs in Sydney. Unfortunately there is no current co-ordinator, although we have some interest.

If you would like to help reignite this event in this fantastic city – get in touch!

The very first Sydney Fabric-a-brac was held in a warehouse space on Cleveland St, Redfern in November 2011. We raised $300 for Sacred Heart Hospice and brought a great new event to Sydney crafters!

The 2nd Sydney Fabric-a-brac was held in May 2012, at Petersham Town Hall. We raised $1,200 for Sacred Heart Hospice in Darlinghurst. We had a huge range of fabric, workshops by The Sydney Etsy Team, yummy food by Black Star Pastry and live music by Portable Junk, Evan & The Brave and Heart Swell.

In May 2013, our 3rd event was run, in the form of a pop-up market in Newtown. It was a mini Fabric-a-brac with a select number of fantastic stallholders that brought a huge crowd. Brooklyn Boy Bagels provided food & coffee, and we raffled off some great prizes from Made 590, Etelage and All Buttons Great And Small.

Our 4th event is happening at Stanmore Public School on Saturday 24th May! There will be a great array of fabric, textiles and haberdashery as well as live music, bagels, a sewing advice desk and workshops by Bobbin & Ink and The Make It Collective. All funds raised from this event will go to Good Beginnings, a fantastic national not-for-profit that builds better outcomes for children in vulnerable communities. If you’d like to be a stallholder, or have fabric to donate, please contact

You can also email to be put on our mailing list.

    1. Hi Maureen, we’re still finalising the venue and date for the next Fabric-a-brac. In the meantime, I’ve put you on our mailing list so that you will be among the first to know about the next event. Thanks, Kaila.

  1. Hi Kaila. We’ve run out of postcards you dropped off to us at Bevs Remnant House 722 Bourke St East . Hoping we can get some more. Had lots of interest in the coming event, & really looking forward to taking part in the day. Rini
