Fabric-a-brac goes global!

Fabric-a-brac is no longer just world famous in New Zealand, it hopped over the ditch to Brisbane, Australia.

My name is Lindsay and I was a stall holder at the first Fabric-a-brac in Wellington. I have since then moved over to Brisbane. I work as a costume maker and so I am in contact with a lot of creative and crafty peeps. I really wanted to spread the Fabric -a-brac love so got in contact with Josie and together we are organising Brisbane’s newest event.

The date for the Fabric-a-brac is the 3rd of September, from 1:30pm to 5:00pm in the Serbian Orthodox Church Hall on 243-247 Vulture Street, South Brisbane. It is an easy location to get to via public transport, as the South Bank bus and train stations are 5 mins away.

If you are driving to the event the venue does have parking, but a space is not guaranteed.

To sell your stash you can hire a whole table for $30 and a half table for $15. The tables are a bit larger than average trestle table so plenty of room for your fabric, patterns and notions.

To reserve a table email me on fabricabracbris@gmail.com

More updates to come!

    1. Hi Michelle, thanks for putting Fabric-a-brac in to your calendar. I am planning to have another Fabric-a-brac but at this time a date has not been decided. I can put you on to our mailing list if you want to keep up to date with future events? Cheers,Lindsay

    1. Hiya Cherry!

The events in Brisbane and Sydney have been organised by different people. So far I don’t know of anybody that is organising one in Melbourne.

If you or some one else would like to organise a Fabric-a-brac event you can contact Josie in NZ via email fabricabracwgtn@gmail.com

It is a great event and for it to continue its way throughout Aussie would be awesome!

      Cheers, Lindsay
