The sun came out and so did Sydney crafters for our pop-up market! The bagels were delicious and it was our best range of fabric & notions yet. We raised $350 to put towards our next big event. And our amazing raffle was won by Bonnie of Stanmore.
We can’t wait for our next event, and apparently neither can you! We’ll let you know as soon as we set the date for the next one. Stay tuned for some more Fabric-a-brac action!
We are all set for Saturday, with a great range of fabrics, notions and textiles for sale at great prices!
Brooklyn Boy Bagels will be serving his delicious New-York style bagels with handmade cream cheeses. We’ve also had some generous donations from Made 590, Etelage and All Buttons Great and Small for our raffle. (Our raffle prizes represent the best of creative Newtown shops!)
Can’t wait to see you all there, let’s raise some money to keep this event alive in Sydney!
Please note that we have reached stallholder capacity, and also cannot take any more donations at this late stage. Also, unfortunately due to the venue space this event does not have disabled access.
Sydney, we have some great news! We’re bringing another Fabric-a-brac to you, in the form of a pop-up market! It will be held at 226 Union St, Newtown on Saturday 25th May, between 10am – 2pm.

Eleanor Keene, Historic Clothing & Textiles Specialist has been cataloguing the textile related items up for sale from the closed Berrima shop Peppergreen (when she’s not helping us raise funds for hospice!). Get yourself to Theodore Bruce, 31 Queen Street, Beaconsfield 2015.
A huge thanks to everyone who attended our Sydney Fabric-a-brac on Sunday 6th May 2012. What a huge, fun-filled day it was! Fabric was sold, conversations were started, workshops were run, food was eaten, music was played… and money was raised! In total, we raised $1,200 for Sacred Heart Hospice. Black Star Pastry and The Sydney Etsy Team generously donated not only their time, but also cold hard cash, to our fundraising efforts. HIGH FIVES!
We also received a super generous donation from stallholders Eleanor Keene and Helen who were selling fabrics from the closed Berrima shop Peppergreen. The ladies donated ALL the sales from her table to hospice. How lucky are we?!
Thanks for all your fabulous feedback, we hope you enjoyed the day! The question on everyone’s lips was “when’s the next one?”. There will be another Fabric-a-brac in 2012, so stay tuned to this blog or our Facebook page. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on our mailing list.
